As an ordained minister and a faculty of SABC, Rev. C.B. Anderson, the then Principal delegated him to East India in 1962, to promote and recruit for the college. As per his own statement, he first came to Angami and Chakhesang areas along with Naga SABC graduates and preached in several existing Churches. There after he moved to Wokha area and conducted revival meetings in different villages and towns. He, then, moved to Churachandpur to make this town his base of ministry in 1963. Form this station he started visiting Assam, Mizoram and the region around.
Hearing about the prospective ministry in the region, Rev. C.B. Anderson came to Lakhipur, Assam and conducted Bible studies cum First Conference for the region from March 6-10, 1964. In this conference it was decided that the name of the society would be called “Assemblies of God East India” (AGEI). It paved the way for the A.G Mission to expand in Northeast India.
